Our anniversary

February 15th is our anniversary and this year we celebrated two years. It's such a great feeling being in a relationship with your best friend. Through the bad times and the good-having your best friend there makes it such much easier.
For our anniversary we went to lunch at our favorite restaurant California Shabu Shabu in Costa Mesa. It was of course delicious and super filling.
Afterward we headed to one of my favorite touristy spots in socal- The Aquarium of The Pacific. We spent hours there checking out all the really cool shows and even cooler sea creatures.
After the aquarium we headed to dinner at TGIF and then rushed home to get warm (it was a cold day/night!) And cuddle on the couch before heading to bed. It was such an amazing day and I couldn't have asked for a better person to spend it with. <3

Our Valentines Day

(yes, it's been awhile)
Valentines day has never been a huge holiday celebrated for me. I usually would babysit my siblings or attempt avoiding all outside adventures in fear of crowds and crazed couples. This year was no different, except I got to enjoy the company of my cute boyfriend. We headed to a near by redbox and picked up a free rental thanks to a Valentines day promo code. At home my boyfriend surprised me with champagne and strawberries (yum!) And we made a pasta dish with havarti cheese and crispy bacon. It was a lot of fun staying in and cuddling up to a good movie (we watched The Rum Diary) and had yummy food and champagne. It couldn't have been any more perfect! Such a sweet and simple Valentines day. <3

Yesterday was fun, I got to spend the day on the town with my mom. We love similar things and everyone always asks us if were sisters, so it tends to make for a pretty fun time whenever we get together.

We started our afternoon by getting some lunch at our favorite Mexican food restaurant- Bobby D's. *yum*
Afterwards we headed down to thrift row (a small strip mall that contains five thrift stores) and discovered so many cute treasures for such great deals.

After finding a few fun records at the thrift shop we realized we wanted to find more, so we headed over to one of my favorite little record shops-Burger Records. We spent a couple hours spilling over countless records and falling in love with more than our wallets would allow.

That night we headed to an awesome food truck parking lot party in orange! We got to enjoy the seabirds fried avocado tacos and the piaggios chicken quesadilla. Both were so amazing and I have a feeling we will be ordering them again when we get the chance.

Yesterday was such a great way to spend my day off and i'm glad I got to do some of the things I love with my mom. It's been too long. :)

I've been adding tons of stuff to my online shop. I'm working to pay off any debts I have and hoping 2012 will be the year of good things. 2011 kicked my ass and this year i'm going to try and return the favor.

The Christmas tree is up, most presents are bought (&wrapped!) and I'm kind of excited.
The other day I put in my two weeks notice at my retail job and couldn't be anymore excited to leave that hell hole and start working more at the bar again. The extra money from the retail job has totally helped out during these last couple of months, but it made me clearly realize that I'm just not cut out for retail anymore. I will definitely miss the discounts though. I got an amazing chocolate colored faux fur throw for $19 today! (Originally $60) I have bought a few Christmas gifts, presents for myself and shared my discount with friends and family- losing this discount will be the one downside to leaving this job. Oh Welllllllll. I hope you all are prepared for the holidays and are just as eager for the arrival of holiday festivities!

Ps. Expect much more frequent blogging since I have downloaded a Blogger app and will be blogging from my phone more often than not. :) oh, technology.

Im BACKKKKK!
I have been without a laptop for far too long. My laptop is finally back up and working and although the battery doesn't seem to hold a charge anymore- it still works. :)
So much has gone by that I don't even feel like updating scene by scene. I will tell you that I finally got a second job! I'm glad that I'm working more and can hopefully get a hand on my overdue debt, but these hours have been pretty intense! I'm just hoping my schedule will balance out and all will be right. I have so many blog entries to catch up on in google reader (clearly, I was the only one on blogging break) so I will hopefully be back to a regular schedule of blogging now. :)

POSITIVE VIBES.

I love October.
So far this month has brought zombie movie marathons (&The Walking Dead is back!), pumpkin carving, fun costumes and a nice change in weather! I also have a job interview tomorrow and i'm trying to keep the POSITIVE VIBES FLOWING. I am really hoping this job opportunity works out and I can take my next step towards getting out of debt and finally getting a new car. Just the thought of it makes me so happy!

I've also been thinking about what tattoo I want to add to my arm next as well. I've got a lot of ideas flowing and lately I've been thinking a fun cat inspired piece. Have you guys gotten a tattoo of your pets? Send them my way- I'd love to see!

1: Death before Decaf. I have to have a red bull, Chai or Coffee- EVERY DAY.
2: I don't have tonsils.
3: I have so many embarrassing celebratory dorky dances. Its true, ask my boyfriend.
4: My hair grows really fast- so I tend to never hesitate to chop it all off.
5: I have a lot of favorite t.v. shows that constantly change in ranking.
6: I'm fluent in sarcasm, which often gets mistaken for bitchiness.
7: I talk to my cats. Constantly. In a high pitched, "talking to a baby" kind of voice.
8: I get along with guys better than I do girls.
9: I've got ten tattoos and love every single one. If strangers asks me the story behind them- I always make up elaborate tales that leave them baffled. Its hilarious.
10: I like to make up words on Words with Friends. This pisses most people off.

My computer has been on the fritz lately and by that- I mean it was wiped completely clean by some stupid virus. It was a very upsetting week and while I have finally come to terms with the fact that I am again starting from scratch- its annoying to have to download all my programs again. SO LAME.

Since I've been gone- I've been adding to my tattoos on my arm. I now have a few new pieces and I am stoked to finally see some progress on filling my arm with pretty pretty pictures. One piece that I am especially in love with is my Chuck Palahniuk, Invisible Monsters piece. I got it right by my elbow (yes, it hurt). If you're a Palahniuk fan you will be completely aware of what my tattoo is. :)

The other day I went to an estate sale of a hoarder. As glamorous as that may sound- it was pretty disgusting. It smelled of cat piss and other unmentionables and everything was very dirty or dusty. I couldn't ever imagine living in such conditions. Once I finally was able to start looking through the stuff and stop dwelling on the smell- I ended up finding a few fun pieces. One of my favorite finds was this Imperial Play Time Record Player! It's a bit beat up on the outside, but it runs great and is super adorable. I'm thinking about sanding down the suitcase and repainting it. I've never restored a record player before, so this will be a new venture. I can imagine myself giving it to my future son or daughter and playing children's records on it. That would be so cute!

Labor Day

My labor day consisted of TV marathons, blog reading, Chinese food, cat cuddling, product photographing and SO.MUCH.ICED.COFFEE. I originally wanted to go out, bbq and lay by the pool but with the slightly overcast day we had here in California(cloudy but still in the 80s)- I decided to open all the blinds, turn on the AC and pretend that the cold AC air was coming from the cloudy skies outside. It was an awesome FAKE FALL afternoon, that I gave myself. All my friends had to work today anyway- so I just took the opportunity and did a ME DAY.

Galaxy Nails DIY

This is my new favorite do it yourself nail design that's fun and easy and always gets compliments.

To take your nails out of this world, you will need:

>>Black and white nail polish
>>Additional polish colors of your choice to be featured in your galaxy.
>>A makeup sponge or a small piece of a regular sponge
>>Small surface to be used as a polish canvas
>>Nail polish remover
>>Qtips

Step one:
Paint all your nails black & let dry.

Step two:
Drip your accent colors onto your small surface and use the sponge to dab a paint color. (I used teal, purple and yellow)
Step three:
Sponge a strip of color across your nail diagonally.

Step four:
Repeat this process with multiple colors until you've achieved your desired galaxy.

Step five:
Take your white nail polish and create very small polka dots on your nails to look like stars throughout your galaxy.

Step six:
Cover all your nails with a thick layer of clear nail polish.

Step seven:
Clean around the outside of your nail with nail polish remover and a Qtip.

Step eight:
ENJOY!

My thought process is so strange. Even though it doesn't even resemble Fall outside, I am already thinking about what I'm going to buy people for Christmas. Ever since I was little I thought living in California was a blessing. Recently, I haven't thought anything of the sort. Currently, there is a mix of cost of living being so high, the crappy school system and the unfortunate lack of jobs that are looming in the air. I want success in life, not to live paycheck to paycheck and to just be able to enjoy my home and the people that are in my life. I'm questioning whether California is the location for my future or if moving somewhere else is what's needed.

Hello.

This morning, I found out my email was hacked and sending viruses in emails to everyone in my contacts list. *le sighhh* So, if you received an email from me with the subject line stating; "Re:(no subject)" please delete it. In other news, I'm still nonstop searching for a second job. This economy is so, so crappy and I'm still trying to stay positive. Hopefully, the winds will change and I can catch a break ASAP. :) Also, I wanted to say to all my east coast readers and fellow bloggers- I hope you are doing okay and please stay safe! I've never experienced personally such a storm and can't imagine what you all must be going through. Here in California its just been dreadfully HOT, so maybe our warmth can head your way. I seriously can't wait until fall and winter. I've been swooning over photos of boots, beanies and scarves. CANT WAIT.

I'm so fed up lately, it's at nothing in particular its just all those little things that seem to add up. I can't seem to find a second job anywhere and the California school system is a JOKE. I can't afford to take anymore than one class (unit prices went up, AGAIN) let alone GET INTO A CLASS. I am struggling to pay my bills and everyday pretending that i don't have a mountain of debt that I'm currently drowning in and can't payoff. Of course, being the girl I am- I bottle all these frustrations up and then when something minute happens- I explode.

So this is the tale of how I overreacted to ants, Internet & annoying neighbors.

It seems like it happened all within minutes. I go to get a snack out of the pantry and find that apparently the local ant farm decided to invade it. I call my leasing office, no answer. I then have to remove everything from my pantry, throw away half of our food and spray down the entire area. After this hour (or so) long venture- I call my leasing office again, no answer. I throw out all the trash, wipe down our counters and go to get some cleaner from under our sink and much to my surprise- more ants. I then clean out the cleaning supply cabinet as well. Now I'm frustrated, pissed off and sweaty. I go sit down on the couch to continue working on my online shop and then the Internet goes down. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. At this point, I'm ready to call anyone who will listen and threaten their life because I'm so frustrated. Instead, I unplug my router and chuck it across the room, startling my cats who are wrestling in the kitchen..AGAIN. When I finally calm down and get the Internet to work (it took 45min or so- I HATE YOU, TIME WARNER.) I go back to work on my laptop. Of course, that's when my neighbor decides to put her new PARROT on the patio. It sits there in its cage and SQUAWKS for another hour. I won't lie- I totally imagined owning some kind of paintball gun or throwing the bird into the pool in order to finally shut it up. When the owner of the beloved bird finally brought it back inside their apartment and I made sure I couldn't find anymore straggling ants- I sat down to write a blog post. I sat frustrated for a good 20 minutes or so, not knowing what the hell to write. So, I just started writing about all these ridiculous events and after writing it all out I realized that while the ants, Internet and parrot were all very annoying- it was what I left bottled up that was bothering me the most. I know I'm not the only woman out there that has done this... and I'm actually really glad I wrote this. Now you can laugh at my ridiculousness (much like i am doing now) and I got all my anger and frustration off my chest.

I miss when friendships were easy, when hanging out with a girlfriend never meant drama. Lately, I've been doing a lot of 'de-cluttering' in the social life department. I realized I had people that weren't bringing positivity or happiness into my life and instead just drama and headaches. I've been cutting ties where needed, but its a lot easier said then done. I still miss certain people, fun moments we've had, etc. But how do I know if I just miss those moments or that actual person? I can honestly say that I've been changing a lot this year and finding a new sense of maturity with the desire for the similar minded friends. Not all life transitions are easy and I'm beginning to see this now.

I went to the Old Santa Ana Court House today for my boyfriends fathers' marriage ceremony. I can't seem to find a second job anywhere and I'm struggling to stay afloat financially. I hate when I get into situations like this. I'm attempting to sell out most of my vintage shop online because it would help me in every way possible. &I currently have a job that never seems to schedule me enough hours and its filled with people that don't seem to realize how much I live off tips. Financial frustration is always the worst and there is never an easy way out.

Where have I been? Ive been discouraged. You bloggers all are beautiful, creative beings with gorgeous families, high tech amazing cameras and all the connects in the world. So, when I find myself sitting in front of my laptop I don't ever know what to write. I don't have a new baby to photograph daily, a clothing line I'm preparing, or a band I'm following across the country. I'm normal. I work a job I hate 85% of the time, I live in a simple apartment that I love and I have no idea who I want to be when I grow up. I'm not all put together and I'm tired of sitting in front of my blank screen trying to enhance the highlight reel of my life in hopes to get you to like me more. I think its time I get back to why I loved blogging in the first place- because it was a place to celebrate and share my life. Whether through photos or stupid lengthy emotional posts(or haiku's if I really feel like it) either way- its going to be ME.

I never plan my absences from the blog- they just usually end up happening. Lately my life has been ALL ABOUT working and trying to pay bills. Also, the boyfriend and I have been recently approved to upgrade and move to a larger apartment! I'm super excited, but this means a lot of hard work and super busy schedule over the next few weeks. I'm already browsing the Ikea site (practically daily) and dreaming of paint colors. I want to make this next apartment super comfy and totally OURS.
Today the boyfriend and I celebrated the beginning of May with homemade tacos and pool fun! The weather was perfect and I sat there for a few minutes wondering how this year is flying by so quickly!

I hope you all have started May off on the right way!

Back in January, I made some pretty generic goals that I want to stick to for the year of 2011. One of those goals was to 'Take more photos, print more photos'. Well, I have definitely been attempting to take more photos (whether it be my camera or cell phone) and I recently just printed a nice giant batch of photos with Snapfish.

The photos came in around 3-5 days after I placed the order and I couldn't be happier with the quality! I even had some cell phone photos printed, hoping they'd be at least decent quality and they surely surpassed my expectations with some beautiful quality photos! I'm really happy I have these photos and can't wait to take more photos and print even more! I highly recommend visiting the Snapfish site and trying it out! (In fact- just for signing up you get 20 free prints!) They constantly have super great deals and its so nice to be able to place the order from home and have them in my mailbox in no time! I already have a list of photos I want to print and may now have an addiction!

The next step is to find great creative ways to display the photos or really cute photo albums to save them in! How do you guys display your photos? I personally don't have the time or patience to scrapbook- so simplicity is key for me! haha

Nails are the accessory for spring.
Whether you glue on fake ones, get them done at a salon, use tattoos or paint them yourself- everyone seems to be rocking some sort of decorated phalanges these days. I personally love the glue on nails with all the amazing prints. They're so easy to put on and come in so many fun patterns!

Yesterday was such a blast!
The boyfriend and I went to balboa with some of his family and went boating for a few hours. It was such a blast! we ate crackers and brie and had had some delicious mimosa's all while checking out the most amazing homes and sailboats on the bay. I totally forgot to bring my camera with me (bad blogger!) but I snapped a few photos with my phone.

The weather was perfect and I couldn't have asked for a better Sunday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend as well!

I haven't posted on my blog since my blog [re]makeover. OOPS.
I have been pretty busy all week and honestly can't figure out where the days have gone! I also have been working a bit more lately and attempting to pay off some debts.
This week not only did my blog undergo some cosmetic changes but so did I! It's nothing too over the top, but I really like it.

Blonde, Pink & Black!

Most of you probably remember when I was complaining about etsy and how I'm pretty over the "community" of people on there- well I took my first step towards new beginnings! I am officially a member of big cartel and plan on working on the design css/html this week in building the perfect shop front! Meanwhile, I have clearanced so much in my shop already and hope to get rid of nearly half of it by the time I launch my new shop front. I decided to add a fun segment series to my blog that will hopefully become a favorite to all my readers: FASHION. There are no boundaries to it, so I can feature favorite products, DIYs, trends and even have guest bloggers! (if interested in being involved- email me at: ohjeezjaelynn@gmail.com) So, I shall kick off this fantastic blog concept with a fun trend and how to recreate it for yourself!

Lately I'm sure you've all seen the recent trend of the UNDERCUT. The undercut is a hairstyle in which the sides and/or back of your head are shaved and the rest of your hair is left long. Many girls lately are sporting this edgy haircut and putting quite the feminine twist to what can so easily be labeled an 'early 80s punk rock' tribute haircut.

This cut is quite the commitment and because of that, it isn't done by everyone. If chopping off all your hair on one side of your head isn't in your fashion plans- then try this simple way to fake the edgy look! :)

1)Create a deep side part.
2)On the nonheavy side of the part, apply a light weight gel to slick the hair against your head. Use bobby pins placed an inch or two behind the ear to secure the hair. Then, spray with an extra strength hairspray to hold.
3)Brush the hair on the heavy side of the part slightly toward the face (or over the eye). If you need more volume, simply tease at the roots or lightly spray the roots with hairspray and blow dry the hair. This look is real cute straight, but can also be rocked with curls!

Happy Monday!
Thank you to all who helped me out in my time of need when I blew out my ear! My ear is currently soooo much better and I have a plug in it again. I'm working my way back up to the size it was at and plan on using the tape to stretch in the future.
Besides nursing my ear back to proper health, I've been listing a few new pieces in my Etsy shop. I'm really loving my recently added items that I made!

This is the guitar strap headband. I recently acquired some vintage guitar straps that I have turned into headbands! I only have a limited quantity and I hope that they are loved by anyone who snags them up in time!

This is the AWESOME 8oz stainless steel vintage Aztec print fabric wrapped flask! I am in absolute love with this print fabric and couldn't believe it when I stumbled upon it in one of my vintage hunting adventures.

Both of the new handmade items are very limited yet so amazing, so if you love it- snag it!

Also, Ive been trying to catch up on blog reading and I have been hit (yet again) with the urge to redo my blog. haha! I will probably end up doing it and maybe with the relaunch I will do a giveaway!?!

[SICK] PLUGS

So, I have super upsetting news. As I've told you many months ago, I began stretching my ears. The other night I went to stretch my ears for the second to last time. (I am almost at my goal of 1/2") Well, something went wrong with one of ears apparently- because it almost immediately swelled up, bled and starting pussing.

YEP, attractive huh? I'm really bummed out and at a definite pausing point in my stretching. I took the plug out and have been cleaning it repeatedly and soaking it in a hot sea salt water. If any of you have any pointers as to what I should do, that would be greatly appreciated. I still want to keep my plug and I'm fearful that its closing up as it starts to heal. I cant manage to put anything in the hole yet and its still very very tender.
I'm way BUMMED.

Bruxie Waffle House

I don't normally do reviews and seem to find myself to be doing a second one this week! This morning I went with Heather of Found&Made to Bruxie Gourmet Waffle House.

OH MY GOD.
It truly was absolutely amazing! You wouldn't think that waffles for lunch or dinner would be a hit, but when you fold one in half and stuff it with wild mushroom and arugula or a burger patty, cheese and an assortment of veggies- the assumptions go out the window!

This place was packed this morning for breakfast and from what I hear, often is. Not only do they have the out of the ordinary sandwiches, but they also have yummy breakfast waffles, delicious dessert waffles, soft serve frozen custard, shakes, sundaes, floats and old fashioned cane sugar sodas! (not to mention- they serve Peet's Coffee!) I have a feeling that Ill be headed back there a few times to share the yummy treats with more friends and family.

Hello lovelies.

Even though I've restored most programs and music on my laptop, I still feel as though Im using a friends laptop. I miss all my bookmarks and thousands of inspiration photos I would browse through when bored. Oh well- looks like I will just have to collect them all over again. lol

Recently i've found myself enjoying my days with old friends, new friends and my lovely boyfriend. February flew by and I can't believe its already March! Yesterday I filed my taxes and couldnt be happier that theyre done! (i hate doing taxes) Now, I just have to wait forever for the funds to magically appear in my bank account. :)

I've spent most of my day off today catching up on blog reading and listing new items in my shop. I've still got so much more to list, but I seem to be doing a little with each sitting.

I've also been contemplating doing another giveaway soon and was wondering how you all would feel about a (vinyl)record a month giveaway? I listen to records pretty regularly and love everything about them- If there just as many people out there that enjoy them, maybe this giveaway would be something that interests you. LET ME KNOW! :)

Hello blog world. :)

Ive been having such a great month (minus my financial situation). Although most of you celebrated Valentine's Day (I'm not a big fan) I got to celebrate my one year anniversary on the 15th with my adorable boyfriend. :)
We went on a SUPER CUTE date off pch in Huntington Beach. We went to RA Sushi and had a blast eating amazing food and just enjoying each others company. :) I took a few photos of our outing and thought I'd share them with you all.

I've been distant lately, despite my promises to get better at blogging. Unfortunately, early last week my laptop CRASHED and I was devastated. I was able to save most of my stuff, but I lost A LOT still. :( After having my laptop wiped clean and restored, I am now in the process of re downloading all my programs and transferring files from my external hard drive to my laptop. SUCKS.
I haven't even been able to update my shop much lately- which means sales have been horrible this month as well. WAH WAH WAHHHH.
Once I have my laptop working (with all the needed programs) I will be slashing prices in my shop in hopes to clear out inventory and start adding all new items. Lately, I've been quite fed up with etsy. Well- actually its the people. It just seems that the people on etsy just seem to be getting more and more RUDE. I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed this? And if so, what are you doing about it? Ive considered leaving etsy and moving to a different site, but I really have no idea where I would want to go. Thoughts?
Anyway, thanks to all who have stuck through this barren blogging month and hopefully my life will go back to a normal schedule!

So today I finally ventured out of the house and headed to an estate sale and rummage sale. I was pretty stoked. First stop was at a nearby church rummage sale and was a bit discouraged at how much CRAP was there. Right as I was about to give up hope, I found a hilarious and absolutely ironic book being sold. It was titled 'The joys of Hooking as told by nine happy hookers'.
I DIED.
&then bought it. It was published in the 1970s and sold for 95cents back in the day, so I'm clearly not expecting a top novel. I'm sure that it'll hold quite a bit of laughs for me though. :)

After my odd adventure there, I headed to an estate sale in a mobile home park. I wasn't expecting much but when I walked in I was in utter shock.

The lady that lived in this home was a complete hoarder. Things were piled to the ceilings in some rooms. It was quite insane. I clearly did not follow in her foot steps, and diligently picked out a few prized pieces. haha
I can honestly say that I am pretty happy with this Fridays findings and can't wait for some more good estate sales to start popping up this season. I'm dying to reload the shop with fresh looks for spring but want to wait until I have an abundant amount of product.
I'm also excited to announce that I plan on sewing again. I fell out of that hobby for quite some time and I'm eager to jump back into it. I've bought some ADORABLE vintage patterns that I will be utilizing and can't wait to start. :)

Over the past week or so I've been sick as a dog and lagging on all forms of Internet connection(including my shop!). I'm in the process of catching up on all my blog reading (over 600+ entries to read!), listing new products in the shop and trying to get back to a better blogging schedule.
I'm also trying out this new thing I like to call;
LIVING.

:) I feel like we all get so consumed in our online status that we end up sitting around our laptops and forgetting to enjoy ourselves with family and friends....or at least that's what I do sometimes. hah.

I'm sorry I've been a way from the blog.
I've been under the weather and totally not feeling inspired to do much. Tomorrow, (early morning) I have to take my sweet baby kitten into the vet to get two hernias removed and to be fixed. I get severe anxiety when my animals are injured or in pain, so I am not looking forward to this at all. If she ends up having to wear a cone around her neck, Ill be sure to post many silly photos of her in it.

I feel a bit overwhelmed lately. I'm super happy that Ive got a better job and that my boyfriend and I have been going out and enjoying life lately. What I can't seem to get over is the debt I am in. I mentioned in my 2011 goals that I wanted to work on my debt and get rid of it. I'm such an impatient person and get discouraged when things aren't working out quick enough. I suppose that's the current situation I am dealing with and trying to work through it. I've already paid off a few medical bills from when I was severely sick back in early 2010 and have a few more to work on (not to mention so many other bills!)
One way I am working on paying my debts is through my etsy sales. I have been working hard at listing more things in my shop and constantly trying to stay on top of it. If you haven't seen it lately, I encourage you to check out any and all my new items there! (shop!)

Tonight the boy and I are going to stay in and red box a few movies and enjoy some yummy dinner. I got my mini fish eye lens for my phone and I will be sure to post photos later this week.

I've been a bad blogger again. This week seems to be zooming by! I've been keeping busy with cleaning and reorganizing my stuff for my shop. I found so many things when digging through my closet- including rolls of undeveloped film from when I was in 8th grade! I can't believe how much film I have that I still haven't developed and I'm rather excited to see what's on these rolls. I will be sure to post them here once I do, even if they re all so embarrassing. haha

I'm loving all the change that seems to be lingering in the air and I'm being quite optimistic about it lately. This week has been exceptionally well so far. It's been filled with good friends, journeys to new places, beautiful weather and so much more!
This week I also finished my forearm tattoo. I hate posting photos of tattoos in the healing process because it always looks scabby, slimy and weird but- here is at least a sneak peak of it the morning after I got it.

I'm in love with it and plan on getting so many more tattoos. :)
I also got a new phone! Well, its the same phone I had before but this one just hasn't been dropped off a roller coaster. haha
I also purchased an awesome wide angle/fish eye jelly lens for my cell phone! I'm really excited to receive it in the mail and use it for my 365 project. It was only $1 +shipping so I really couldn't pass up the good deal! (Gotta love Ebay)

Yesterday, I had an interview for a serving position at a local bar&grill. The interview went FANTASTIC and I got the job on the spot! I actually start training tonight and I am so happy! I quit my other horrible job via text message and let me tell you- it was liberating! haha
Today I will be running many errands, stopping by an estate sale and then heading to the new job! I wish you all a happy Thursday!

Here are my last two weeks of 2010 in my 365 project!

Here is a matryoshka doll I painted for my mother for Christmas. She loved it! I'm thinking about buying some more blank ones and painting another set of them. Maybe even sell them in the future?

My 2011 Goals
I'm not going to make specific goals that I will end up not being able to follow for longer than two weeks. Instead- I will make a general list of things I would like to improve on throughout 2011.

1) Take more photos, print more photos.
I realized how many photos I had on my external hard drive but the amount of physical photos I own is depressing! I love taking my camera places and need to get into the habit of taking it with me more often. I've found so many deals online for ordering prints (via shutterfly and snapfish) that there is no excuse! Right now I have all my photos in a vintage suitcase, but I want to come up with a cute and creative way to display them (maybe in a book or vintage photo albums?).

2)Get out of debt.
I've made some poor financial decisions this past year and with my recent car accident, I'm more than stressed about my current financial situation. So, this year I want to be smart about my money, find a new and better job and start paying things off! There is no reason for debt and unfortunately I had to realize this now and not when I got my first credit card and enjoyed the excitement of it too much.

3)Be a better blogger.
I seem to always have these awkwardly long gaps in between my posts and there really is no good reason for it. I just recently updated my blog design with something that I truly am happy with and love. So, now I want to stick to regular blogging and building up my following! I love the blogging world as a reader and a blogger myself-so I want to be more involved with it as much as possible!

4)Get organized.
I need to better organize my life, apartment and online shop! I feel like through all my moves and everything that seems to have gone on within the last six months- that I've lost my sense of organization. I want to better organize my life so its just a little bit less stressful!

Obviously, my 2011 goals are more like guidelines for myself within the next year. I'm happy with what I've written and feel that each one is something I can really accomplish without limiting or discouraging myself! I hope that you all have had a great new year so far and that you too can stick to your resolutions/goals!

I began a video project back in 2010 where I was collaging small videos taken with my video camera app on my phone. Sometime in mid 2010 I totally forgot about the project yet- still continued to take videos. I found the half finished project on my hard drive and decided to finish it up and share it with you all! I figure this is a great way to say my final goodbyes to 2010. This was a fun project and although the quality isn't GREAT, I suggest trying it out to anyone with video capabilities on their phones! :)

Its true, i havent been the biggest fan of 2010. Its been a tough year filled with more than enough bad luck and hard times. Don't get me wrong- there were some amazing times sprinkled throughout, im just hoping for a more positive year ahead.
Im headed to work now for what will most likely be a very long and annoying shift. Afterwards i will be hanging out at my cute apartment ringing in the new year with some close friends. :)

Welcome to my new blog.
I've had the itch for change lately and couldn't bring myself to wait until the 1st like everyone else. This time around I wanted something clean, simple and versatile. I feel like I've gotten off track as to what this blog really means to me and want to get back to blogging regularly on a blog I enjoy. I'm really happy with the blog design overall and may make some minor changes in the future.

What's new?
*You'll notice that my blog is no longer a three column set up. Ive had a three column blog for quite some time. I've always loved the look, but I find myself wanting to cut the clutter and focus on my posts more than the jumble besides them.
I've instantly fallen in love with my new two column look and can see myself leaving it this way for quite some time.

*I also decided to take a break on sponsors. I first want to thank every. single. person. who sponsored my little blog! It seriously means the absolute WORLD to me. As much as I loved it though, I felt like I was constantly focusing on getting new sponsors each month, promoting them, etc- that I started to not enjoy my blog as much. I plan on bringing sponsors back sometime in 2011- but this break is much needed.

*I removed a couple of support buttons and limited it to only three different ones. So, if you had one of the old ones that's no longer there- please be sure to grab one of the new ones. :)

*Most of you probably saw the post about the virtual garage sale blog site I started. Well, I decided to put that project on hold. (I know... that was quick!) I feel like I'm starting too many projects all at once and want to refocus my life a bit. I'm going to focus just on my shop and blog for awhile until I get my personal life a little more under control.

I really do hope you enjoy the new look of my blog. I have so many goals and desires for 2011 and getting my blog organized and refocused was definitely one of them!

The holidays are so close to being over. I survived day one of festivities and well technically its day two already (its 1 a.m Christmas morning)I'm staying the evening at my parents house since festivities start really early around here. *WOO!* Yes, I'm sure anyone with younger siblings in their family knows what I'm talking about. haha

So- tonight I've got the couch. I was tired a couple hours ago, but apparently Ive hit my second wind and seem to be up with no desire to sleep in the near future. I hope you all are having a good holiday! I'm sure there will be an abundance of "MERRY CHRISTMAS!" and "HAPPY HOLIDAYS" posts flooding your google reader by 8am today (as well as a million tweets). haha So I'll be sure not to be too upset if I don't get any comments on this post. lol
I can already anticipate the busy nature of Christmas day. I suppose I should at least attempt to sleep... or work on my blog design. ;)

I hate when I get into a blogging rut. Its not like I don't have anything to say- its just that I'm annoyed with the look of my blog and whenever this happens I tend not to blog. I was originally going to plan a revamp for my blog to launch on January 1st, but I don't think I can wait that long! (impatience is my biggest flaw)

I can't wait till Christmas is over. I'm not trying to be narcissistic or anything, but the holiday season is stressful. All the presents have been bought, decorations up and plans made. Now I'm just impatiently waiting for it to already be here. I like the new year more than Christmas, not just for celebratory reasons- I just love the fresh start aspect.

I've been working on my 365 movie. It wont be launched until the entire project is done (all 365 photos), but I am LOVING it so far. I will post the last three weeks 365 pictures below for you to all enjoy. :) Tonight I've been skyping with my friend Traci- we've been on here for like hours catching up. Its been quite entertaining- we both moved into new apartments recently so we each gave each other a virtual tour of each others new apartments. It was fun :)

Well, I'm going to continue my lazy Tuesday evening and maybe work on some blog design. :)

Lately I've been so bored with my hair. I feel like I need some more color in my appearance and can't help but swoon over these colorful locks of hair.

I know I wont be able to dye my entire head a bright vibrant array of colors (my job wont allow it), but maybe I could add colorful panel somewhere on my head of hair.

Ive also begun working on my Polaroid wall again. I had started this project when I lived back home and really wanted to recreate it in my cute little apartment. Here are some photos I took today. The Christmas season means blogging unrealistic Christmas lists of things you've been eyeing all year long that you love but know realistically it's not going to happen. I could cry, scream and laugh all at the same exact time from the type of week I've had. I could write pages of just how much i am hating life lately. Nothing seems to be going right and I just can't catch a break. My car was deemed a TOTAL LOSS by my insurance company, my manager cut my hours DRASTICALLY, I'm POOR, Christmas is coming and I have no idea how I will afford it. OH! I can't get anywhere without being a ridiculous burden and asking for rides from everyone to get anywhere, The TV mount holding our 20" boob tube fell out of the wall and CRUSHED our cable box, TV remote and cracked our TV all while leaving a MASSIVE hole in the wall and my new kitten has chewed through my headphones and my bf's cell phone charger. Ive had friends bail on me all week, one friend is mad that I can't help her move and another one apparently has completely forgotten my existence and hasn't responded to any of my texts.
So basically- I feel like CRAP.

But, I've tried to stay positive throughout this entire disastrous week. On Tuesday my boyfriend arranged a pickup and got me a kitten from a breeder on craigslist! Ive been wanting a girl kitten to accompany our other one and maybe brighten his spirits. It seems to have worked and our kitties have been inseparable ever since.

She's so precious. Her name is zoë.

I also listed some awesome 2011 handmade planners (by me!) in my shop. Last year they were such a hit, so I knew they had to make a reappearance. I only have limited supplies, so please snag one up quick!

Oh, and I stretched my ears. I am officially at a size 0g! This means I could actually get CUTE plugs with designs and such. I want to go up one more size, so I'm debating waiting until then for the cute ones.

Its finally the end of this week and I couldn't be happier. I really would love a swap in luck this next week. *crossing fingers*

How are you all doing with Christmas PREP? I don't even have the funds to buy a tiny tree... I did however buy two .70cent stockings for my cats (because I'm weird) but that's about it.
As for Christmas presents, I'm trying to be ridiculously creative. I don't have much- so I'm trying to make as much as possible. What creative Christmas presents have you guys done? I could use some ideas. ;)

well, off to bed. I have errands to do and I'm getting a ride at 10:30 tomorrow.

Im wallowing in self pity over the fact that I got a call and my baby car may not be salvagable (because apparently, when I decide to get into my first accident- I go BIG.) because the damage is too extensive. I should know more answers by tommorow or friday. :(

This morning was going so great. I was running errands with the boyfriend, getting things done and just received a free passion tea lemonade from an old friend at Starbucks. Clearly, this Monday was GREAT- until THIS happened.

First off, I'M OKAY. Ive got a bit of whip lash (my neck and back are throbbing) and a seat belt burn- but other than that, I'm fine. It's my car that I'm more devastated about. For those that don't know, I'm a bit strapped for cash seeing as how I just moved into a new apartment and still waiting for my prorated rent amount from my last apartment. I'm behind on bills, stressed for Christmas and NOW- I have to come up with $500 within the next few days to pay the deductible for my car. I've been an emotional wreck all afternoon and can honestly say that I don't know what I'm going to do anymore. It's a tough situation to be in and I hate being negative on my blog- but I figure I need/want you guys to all be in the loop with whats actually happening in my life. :(

I hope you all have had a fantastic thanksgiving! Mine was great :) I spent the early hours of my day lounging around my new adorable apartment with the boy and then headed over to my parents house for yummy thanksgiving dinner and tons of fun games! :)

This year I have found myself thankful for so much more than usual- like a great boyfriend, supportive family, an apartment that suits us better, and of course my amazing blog readers/supporters! Welcome to the life of craziness. So much is going on- I just had to update you all.

*Moving is never a breeze and I'm coming to terms with the fact that its a lot of work. I move on Friday- a rash decision made two weeks ago and lets just say I've been non stop since the decision. I'm so excited to get into the new apartment, though. Its a cute two bedroom located in Placentia, Ca. Its not a far move, but that doesn't make it any easier. I'm selling stuff, donating stuff, and packing a million things. I'm ready for for this move to finally be over- yet there is still so much to do.

*I am in the process of updating my current etsy shop and considering opening a completely separate shop. Its been on my mind quite often lately, and I've been researching different sites and even considering just running the shop through my blog(?).

*I'm job hunting. Unfortunately, I don't think Ill last much longer at my current job, because I just can't stand my employers childish antics. When I made the move from corporate job to 'mom & pop' I never thought I'd have to go through constant battles to be paid on time, scheduled appropriate hours, have evenly delegated tasks amongst employees, etc. Its been a nightmare and I can't afford to take the risk anymore.

*I'm working at the Patchwork Santa Ana Indie Arts Fest this Sunday! I will be assisting the ever-so-lovely Found&Made at her booth and I'm sure- sneaking a bit of shopping in my moments of freedom. Its been for casted to rain this weekend, but I'm hoping that it'll hold off till Monday!

November excites me, the final changes in weather seem to hit (in California it takes a while) with crisp afternoons and chilly evenings. The insane amount of coffee sessions, crafting and endless photographs of good times all wrapped up with good friends and my fun family. For those of you who follow me on twitter, you probably already heard about how I stupidly dropped my cell phone off a roller coaster while at Knotts Berry Farm in Buena Park. I still can't believe i did it and was a wreck when I couldn't find it. The guy and I continued to walk the amusement park trying to make the best of our time even though I was fretting the fact that I may never see my phone again. A couple hours later the help center called my boyfriend to let them know they found my phone! We rushed over there to see that it was pretty dinged up but over all in great condition for falling approximately two stories off a moving roller coaster.

Everything on my phone pretty much works, but now its saying there is no Sim card and wont let me take any photos or listen to music on my phone. I'm not sure if its the phone or the Sim card that is busted, but i plan on taking it into Tmobile to see what they can do. I'm really hoping for a cheap/effective fix so that I can go back to my 365 routine. I will be really bummed if I can't continue that on my phone anymore.

In other news, its pouring rain over here! I'm so happy about this fact. I love cold weather and rain and have been so sick of the terrible heat lately. Ive had all the windows open today and watching movies, reading books, and cleaning. My cat has been running laps through the apartment (I think the rain gives him waves of energy)and wont leave me alone for a minute.

I wanted to take photos of items to be listed in my shop today, but its so dark out and the lighting in my apartment absolutely sucks today. I think I'll just hide behind my computer screen and get other things done.

Another week flies by, I can't believe we are already halfway through the month of October. I still want to do so much during this month and I seem like I'm just constantly working and not enjoying enough of my free time. I know I don't have much money anymore (damn bills.) but that doesn't stop me from constantly window shopping. ;) I am in absolute love with Fredflare.com and check out their site constantly. I put together a little wish list for you all to oogle as well.

Amazing stuff right? I plan on sitting down and learning how to make some of those texting gloves asap. Also, I want to make a similar scarf with random vintage fabrics, it would be so cute! All the rest I really can't make, so I'll just stare at my laptop screen and lust after them. haha!

Friday already? Yikes. This week went by rather fast, but I'm glad its coming to an end. Its been a tough week- long hours at work, a death in the family, lots of apartment cleaning, a super sick puppy, and what seems like so much more...

Today I had planned on running errands (I need groceries!!), but when I woke up I didn't have a voice and felt a bit under the weather. Ive felt it coming all week long and have been fighting it completely. I'm still not giving into it, but I'm taking it easy until work.

Its been a full afternoon of lounging on the couch watching greys marathon, blog design, blog reading, tweeting and listing things in the shop.
I suppose I should make some lunch now.
I will update my 365 tomorrow.

PS: I want to thank every single person who emotionally and financially supported me and my family in our struggle with our puppy lily bean. You have no idea how much you all are helping us. Its truly been a tough time for us. xoxoxoxoxo

Those of you who have followed my blog for some time, know of my darling little puppy- Lily (AKA Bean). I dont get to see much of her now that i don't live at home but I still love her and miss her often! She is the absolute best dog in the world and yesterday I recieved the news that lily was sick with an infection and needs an immediate operation.

My mom (foundandmade), as well as myself are struggling a bit financially. The operation is going to be a few hundred dollars. :( Here is where I am going to ask for your help-

I've been escaping the heat these past few days by sticking around my apartment a lot more. I often am annoyed at how SIMPLE it is and the fact that its nothing like these gorgeous photos I see many of you blogging about, but I'm starting to enjoy that factor now. I may not have the most elaborate floral couch or retro dining room table (i don't even have a dining room table, hah!) but I have so many cute odds and ends that allow me to express myself all while welcoming the eclectic pieces from my roommates. I have a lot of fun and creative ideas I still want to incorporate within the apartment, but I might just save those for when I don't live with roommates. I do however, want to get some more shelving so I can display more of my awesome vintage finds more thoroughly all while not taking up too much space. I foresee a trip to ikea in my near future, for sure.

This Saturday I'm going to an estate sale and its been a few weeks for me since my last, so I'm absolutely excited! I will be sure to snag all the best things and blog about it as soon as possible. Also, Saturday night I am having a couple friends over for POKER NIGHT! This will be my first official poker night, seeing as how I just learned how to play. I'm pretty excited for all the plans I have later on this week- hopefully I wont be TOO exhausted seeing as how I work A LOT this weekend as well. (yikes)

This past week was filled with some great moments and tons of work. Im working my butt off at my day job trying to make rent and pay all my bills (ugh!) all while keeping a smile on my face. I also organized all my inventory for my shop and found SO MUCH that still needs to be listed in the shop! I plan on working on this all week so that I can sell it all and pay even more bills! haha

Last weeks 365 makes me happy to look at and made me realize that I want to do a 365 video showing all my pics in a slideshow format complimented by excellent music. I really enjoy making pointless videos on my laptop and sharing them with you all. :)
I have a random question to ask you all: I was wondering what you guys would like to see on my blog? I feel like I am in a random blogger rut and can't seem to come up with my own clever blog entry ideas and im looking to you guys for some assistance! :) Leave me a comment with your thoughts/ideas! Hello all. Sorry I've been away for the past few days. A lot is changing in my life right now and I'm trying to figure everything out... I realized that i skipped posting last weeks 365. WOOPS. I prepped it share with you and everything- just totally skipped my mind!

Yet, another week in my life. Im really enjoying the 365 project and im so excited that Ive kept it up this far. (I tend to give up on long projects) Taking a photo once a day isnt really that hard and if you havent started it, you really should! I noticed that fellow bloggers Miss Indie and Caitlin soon after started their own 365 adventures and thats so exciting to see! Be sure to checkout their 365projects as well.
